2015aheadWith the ARCA Mobile 200 just around the corner, things are warming up around Mobile International Speedway in anticipation of the entire 2015 racing season. Daytona Speedweeks always gets everyone’s adrenaline in high gear, and with the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menard’s heading to Mobile for Race #2, the excitement is invigorating to say the least. The Pro Trucks, Sportsman, and Bombers will start things off with their season openers on Friday Night, March 13th. Below is a brief summary of what lies ahead in 2015 for each of our Divisions:

Bombers: New track records will be established in 2015 after some slight tweaks to the various division rules packages. A new ride height rule could be significant for the Bomber Division. Off season testing of a potential carburetor restrictor plate to slow speeds has been put on the shelf for the time being. The Bombers will run a 13 race schedule.

Sportsmen: A weight reduction is among slight changes for the Sportsman Division in 2015, also set for a 13 race schedule. Defending Champion Mark Barnhill will compete in another Division this season, opening the door for a new Champion.

Super Stocks: 2014 yielded some great racing in this Division. The Super Stocks will also benefit from a weight reduction in 2015. Additionally, a brand new look on 4 corners, as Hoosier Racing Tire introduces the R750. The SS Division will consist of a 6 race Series, with a like number of events on the schedule at nearby 5 Flags Speedway.

Pro Trucks: Perhaps the most highly anticipated season yet as this Division continues to grow, the Pro Trucks have been added to the Lee Fields Memorial schedule, making for an 8 race run for the title.

Modifieds: The all new “Modifieds of Mayhem Tour” debuts at MIS on March 28th. In conjunction with Montgomery Motor Speedway, South Alabama Speedway, and 5 Flags Speedway, this 11 event Series will visit MIS again on August 8th.

Pro Late Models: Opening with a 100 Lap Mother’s Day Special, the Pro Late Models will have 3 of the 20/30 Double Feature events on tap before closing the season with yet another 100 Lap race on September 5th.

Super Late Models: The Miller Lite Series returns with 4 events, one of which will be the Lee Fields Memorial 150 on August 22nd. As a major part of the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco, the Super Late Model fields should be better than ever.
