The opening night of racing for the 2010 season at Mobile International Speedway is Saturday March 20 beginning at 8 pm.

The evening will feature the Tampa Bay Area open wheel winged sprint cars in preliminary and a feature event.

Also on the schedule will be the Alabama Pipe and Supply Modified, who along with the sprint cars will qualify and contest a 30 lap feature race.

Two divisions will run heat races and race a feature race starting with the Bob’s Speed Shop Sportsmen and ending with the Island Motors Bombers.  Race time is 8:00 pm.

February 20 will be the annual swap meet for charity in the pit area of the speedway.  The pit gate will open at 9 am with the swap meet scheduled until 4 pm.  There is a $5.00 per person entry at the gate and all monies raised will be donated to the Rape Crisis Center in Mobile.  The swap meet is dedicated to buying, selling, and trading of race equipment from all venues of motor sports, but is not limited to racing associated items.

After the opening weekend of March 20, 2010 the second race meet of the season takes place March 27 at 8:00 pm as the Pro Late Models debut for the season along with the Praytor Realty Super Stock, Bob’s Speed Shop Sportsmen and the Island Motors Bombers.

Both the Pro Late Models and the Praytor Realty Super Stocks will qualify running 35 and 30 lap features respectively.

The Bob’s Speed Shop Sportsmen and the Island Motors Bombers will contest heat races and a feature race of 20 laps for the sportsmen and 15 laps for the bombers.

April 10 will be the first of five weekends of super late model racing over the one half mile Mobile International Speedway track.  The super late model weekend will be paired with Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola.  Five Flags Speedway will race the super late models Friday evenings and the two races each designated weekend will make up the Sunoco Gulf Coast Championship.
