        The continuation of the Sunoco Gulf Coast Championship weekend continues this evening over the Mobile International Speedway facilities.

        The pit gate opens at 1 - the grand stand gates at 5.

        Qualifying begins at 6:45 with the open wheel modified followed by the super late models.

 

        In the race for the Sunoco Gulf Coast Championship, the point standings including the Friday June 25 100 lap race in Pensacola are as follows.

          Augie Grill posted a win in the Friday night Blizzard 100 lap race for the super late models at Five Flags Speedway.

        Chase Elliott was runner up with Casey Smith, Bubba Pollar and Mike Garvey completing the top five.

        Johanna Long, John Bolen, Brandon Carlson, David Roges and Josh Hamner were next in the finishing order.

 

        Fast Qualifier Friday evening was Augie Grill with a time of 16.656.

 

        In Mobile, the super late model track record is held by Grill at 16.802 seconds.

 

        The track record in the modified division is 18.124 established last October 10 by Donnie Hamrac.
