WRESTLING LEGEND BOB KELLY OPENS HALL OF FAME
Cowboy Bob Kelly, a Gulf Coast Professional Wrestling icon, officiated at the opening of the Wrestlin’ & Racin’ Hall of Fame during the annual MIS Champions banquet.
Cowboy Bob, recalling his long friendship with Lee and Ida Fields, was, like the late Lee Fields, a professional wrestler and also a stock car driver.
The new Hall of Fame features the first wave of inductees in both sports, and will add some new names in 2014 under a committee to be formed by MIS racing director Dan Spence, according to Kelly.
The new Hall of Fame is in the Party Barn at MIS in Irvington. The facility is available for private events.
